Adecco Group Recognizes North American Candidate Among Top 10 International “CEOs for One Month”

10 Finalists From Across the World will Vie for the Company’s Global “CEO for One Month” Title

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sept. 1, 2016 – Adecco Group North America’s global parent company Adecco Group, the world’s leading provider of HR solutions, has revealed 10 young people who have reached the final round of the company’s global “CEO for One Month” program. Chosen from more than 54,600 applicants from across the world, Adecco Group North America’s representative, 24-year-old Courtney Berger, from Sarasota, Florida, was selected as a top 10 finalist among 50 other “CEOs for One Month,” who have worked with Adecco Group leaders in their country of residence. In the end, one finalist will gain the unique opportunity to work alongside Adecco Group CEO Alain Dehaze to learn the ins and outs of running a Fortune 500 company with more than 33,000 colleagues in 60 countries.

“Young people all over the globe, including Courtney, have told us that ‘real life’ experience is crucial to their professional journey,” said Bob Crouch, CEO of Adecco Group North America. “In fact, Adecco Group’s recent international survey on “Young People and Work: Dreams and Readiness” found that 60.92 percent of respondents view the lack of work experience as the main barrier to getting their dream job. We can’t wait to cheer on Courtney as she advances towards the opportunity of a lifetime where she will gain that know-how.”

Berger will be up against nine young talents coming from Greece, France, Slovenia, Vietnam, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Italy and the Netherlands. The selection process now moves to Amsterdam, with a boot camp starting on Sept. 6, where they will face a set of individual and team tasks reflecting ‘real-life’ daily business challenges. The top five will then proceed to the final interview. The successful candidate will spend one month working with Dehaze, getting a taste of how to run the world’s leading company in HR solutions. At the end of the experience, Adecco Group will offer the candidate a position in line with his or her seniority and aspirations.

Adecco Group’s “CEO for One Month” initiative is part of the company’s Way To Work ™ program, which highlights issues and challenges facing the millions of young people worldwide that are out of work, while developing ways that this generation can be prepared for the workforce of the future.

“Young people encounter great challenges at the beginning of their careers,” said Dehaze. “Gaining meaningful work experience early can make a real difference to their futures, and we are committed to boosting their employability through Way to WorkTM and the “CEO for One Month” program. I thank all “CEO for One Month” 2016 participants for joining the program and being an inspiration to us, and I look forward to welcoming this year’s successful candidate to the Adecco Group team.”
