Adecco Group North America Kicks Off ‘CEO for One Month’ Week-Long Boot Camp
July 08, 2015JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – July 9, 2015 – Adecco Group North America, part of the world’s leading provider of human resource solutions, will host its “CEO for One Month” boot camp next week, Monday, July 13-Friday, July 17, in Jacksonville, Florida. Seven finalists will compete in a series of challenges throughout the week for the opportunity to work alongside Bob Crouch, CEO of Adecco Group North America, through a paid ($10,000) month-long summer internship.
Finalists were selected from a competitive pool of more than 2,000 applicants across North America. Applicants were judged on academic merit, leadership development, work experience and video submissions in which each candidate described an achievement in work or school that they are proudest of accomplishing.
After a week of surprise challenges, memorable experiences and seminars, the boot camp will culminate in a company town hall on Friday, July 17 where one winner will be selected. Upon selection, the successful candidate will stay in Jacksonville and shadow Crouch and other members of the Adecco leadership team for a month. During this time, the winner will travel to client meetings across the country, participate in business assignments, gain valuable professional skills and learn how a Fortune 500 company is run.
“With entry-level jobs becoming more and more competitive, internships serve as a valuable and critical tool for young professionals seeking meaningful experiences and networking opportunities,” said Bob Crouch. “In fact, a recent Adecco Way To Work™ survey found that the ability to find a job is the top concern for 32% of American students aged 18-24.”
Adecco’s “CEO for One Month” initiative is part of Adecco Group’s global Way To Work ™ program, which highlights issues and challenges facing the 75 million young people worldwide that are out of work, while developing ways that this generation can be prepared for the workforce of the future.
“Finding a job can be daunting, but Adecco is committed to providing the next generation of workers with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed in the professional world,” added Crouch. “This program is just one of the many ways we’re helping this generation take the next step. We look forward to meeting our finalists in-person and working closely with our ‘new CEO’ this summer.”
